i'm back in NY, back to the cold. I had good time in miami. got to see some friends , got to go to sarasota and had lunch with some of my school instructors. it was great. anyways here is drawing i did on the flight back. it was a bit uncomfortable drawing between two people that were so close to me( i was in the middle since i got bitch.) But yeah, i'm looking forward to the coming year, Happy New Year peeps! like my dad always said. no tomes mucho( don't drink too much).

sorry for the lack of posts lately, the past couple of days have been pretty hectic trying to finish a couple of paintings for my family for chirstmas, so i'll be posting it in a couple of days after the holiday. so i did this drawing on the plane ride back to miami, it feels good been back here. i already cruised in my car with the music blasting, hell yeah. anyways happy holidays!

i got the chance to go to another figure session down in brooklyn, this one was particularly good,i enjoyed it a lot. the cool thing about it was that it was in a bar and they had random prizes thru out the 3hrs. i actually won a shot of tequila for one of my drawings.can't go wrong with that i guess. i'll be posting the rest as soon as i photograph them since they don't fit in my scanner.

last night after i got home from work, i saw this small piece of left over wood that was already primed, i didn't wanted it to go to waste , so i decided to paint something as practice.

problaby the most random thing i have ever painted, the color is a bit off since it had to be photographed since it didn't fit in my scanner.

i guess it was bound to happen, i lost my sketchbook last night while waiting for the train to get home last night at 5 in the morning. it's so fucking frustrating! i left it on the bench on 42st and by time i went back to get it it was gone. what upsets me the most is that i just had one page left to finish it. time to move on to the next one i guess.

so i decided to put together a book with some of my work along with some of my sketchbook work. hopefully i'll have it done by november. most likely i'll be printing them at lulu.com unless anyone knows another print on demand place they would like to recommend.

revised bad day

so i took my good friend and talented artist, mirna's advise and actually made the outline a bit stronger and solid, and i actually like it a bit more. it's a subtle change but i guess the smallest details can make a difference. so thanks mirna! feedback and comments and always welcomed an appreciated and encouraged!

This weekend i went to the met to check out a new exhibition that opened up last thursday. called cezanne to picasso,ambroise vollard: patron of the arts. it's an excellent exhibtion featuring the works of van gogh, matisse, renoir, gauguin, degas,bonnard and of course cezanne and picasso. so if anyone is in the new york area i highly recommend checking it out. there are two walls covered of picassos etchings, so 'nuff said.
