new painting

so for most of this semester i have been working on my picture book, which is digital. so i haven't gotten the chance to do any painting. thank god for media class. i'll be doing this one on acrylic on board. i'm really excited to start this one.

baby shower

so i got a called from my friend vero asking me of i could do a design for her baby shower invitations a couple of days ago, i said yes not knowing what i would do. this morning when i woke up i did this sketch in my sketchbook, i liked the possibilities it had ,so i decided to finish it today when i should've been working on my book, but it's all good. i still had a good day.the type will go on the lower left side.

i was going to use this characters on the title page of my book, but it turns out i came across a better idea. i'll post my sketch once it's done.

weekly theme: samurai!

this is problaby the wierdest thing i've done, but it gave me a chance to play and explore. i kept thinking of those awesome japanese woodcuts; so i went into this as more of a collage/printmaking piece and really focus on design. but yeah most likely the weirdest thing 'ive done.

so this is what i came up with for fear. it's not exactly how i thought it would come out, but it's all good. i'm actually playing more with the brushes in PS than before. it was a fun piece to learn from. next week's theme is brought to you by mr. park , SAMURAI! so be on the look out for that.

ooohhh yeah, a quicky.

a watercolor sketch i did the other day in class.i had fun using watercolors again,to me it's such a loose medium. my favorite part is how the type came out.
